August Top 10 Favorites

Back to school season is in full swing & I'm here to share my favorite 10 things of this month!

1. BOOK OF THE MONTH - This past month, I read "The Silent Patient" by Alex Michaelides. This book was so good and I could not put it down. Of all the thrillers I've read this year, I'd have to say this was the best one. It's about a psychologist who works with a woman who's gone silent since the day she's murdered her husband and how he tries to solve the case.

2. Emergen-c Probiotics Plus - I have been trying to take probiotics for quite a while now and just really never liked any of the gummies/capsules I've tried, so I never kept up with it. But I love the flavor of these packets & they give me energy when I put it in my seltzer water at lunch. It tastes like a fun soda without the guilt! NOTE: buy these off Amazon (link here) because they're half the price of Target & Publix.

3. Lysol Laundry Sanitizer - Now that school is back in session, I come into contact with a lot of germs & do my best to sanitize everything constantly. This laundry additive has no bleach in it, has a nice clean smell, & sanitizes your laundry. This is great for anyone: teachers, hospital/medical workers, students, people who work out; everyone! When I started using this in my laundry, I noticed that I got sick less often with the school bug than I used to. They've got a few different scents & a sport one, as well.

4. RECIPE OF THE MONTH : Jalapeno Popper Chicken Casserole - I recently made this recipe and forgot how awesome it is. Just a few simple ingredients bring together a flavorful but easy dinner and it pairs well with just about anything. It's gluten free & keto friendly if that's your thing, too.

5. Trader Joe's pepita salsa - guys, this salsa is the cat's pajamas, bees knees, best-thing-ever in the salsa world! It's a mild, but savory salsa that almost tastes like queso con chile (it's whole 30 compliant, no dairy) and it's amazing on anything. If you don't have a TJ's near you, you can buy from here.

6. Ouai Air Dry Foam - I really don't like drying my hair, especially when I could sleep in 30 more minutes on a work morning. But when I air dry my hair and wear it down, I get jungle lady hair here in Florida. I recently found this air-dry foam and love how it makes my hair look more controlled/styled. I'll put some in my wet hair & then twist my hair into a loose bun for a little bit so it'll dry the way I want it to. It's got a perfume-y smell and doesn't make your hair sticky like some hair products do.

7. The Ron Burgundy Podcast - I like to listen to Podcasts whenever I'm doing house chores like laundry or cleaning up. If you are a Will Ferrel or Anchorman fan, this Podcast is right up your alley. It's kind of like a spoof Podcast where fictional character Ron Burgundy is in full character and wreaks havoc on his on show. This one keeps me laughing and makes chores go by faster.

8. This necklace by Carolina Strung - I love fun & fancy necklaces, and this one from Carolina Strung is a real beauty. I love how the beads look like Ginger Jars and it makes anything you're wearing more fun. They are also open to custom orders if you are looking to have them make you something special!

9. This console table (that's on sale right now) that fits perfectly into a little nook - I've been wanting a little table in our living room that I can decorate for the seasons on & this table was perfect for that. It's got a really nice wood quality and was very easy to build. Plus, it's free delivery to your home!

10. This nighttime tea for relaxing - self care is something that's really important to me and it should be too for you, you deserve it! I love this relaxing tea for stress relief at nighttime because it really does relax you. It tastes cinnamon-y and is perfect for fall! I like it because it helps me fall asleep and stay asleep without having to take a sleeping pill, and that's great for when I have to get up early.
