Reading Nook Mood Board

Hey friends!

Who else has a ton of home projects coming up this year? The next room in our house that I plan to tackle is the upstairs landing. It's not quite the size of a full loft, but it's got room for a little reading nook and TV. I can already see myself reading mystery novels with my pup in this space. Before I start decorating a room, I try to come up with a mood board so I'm intentionally shopping rather than going into Homegoods and aimlessly buying everything that catches my eye, only to find out it doesn't all go well together.

Everything for this reading nook can be found online, making it all easier to come together. I'm sharing this vision board & links in case you've got a small space to decorate, too! All items are linked below so you can find them.

For a reading nook, you'll need:

- an ottoman

- a side table with a framed picture (frame & picture links)

- a rug

- a lamp

- a basket to hold books/blankets

This reading nook was inspired by a link that I found on Pinterest and I love the color scheme. I have two favorite items on this board: the tassel basket & the painting of a little girl reading to her dog. One of my best friends found this cute little painting that I'm going to put in a bamboo frame on the side table. One of my favorite things in the world is settling down with a good book and having my dog next to me. While I don't have kids of my own, it would be a dream come true to have a little girl who reads to our dog; I just think it's so sweet.

If you have the wall space, there are tons of reading-related posters that you could frame and hang in the space as well.

I'm super excited to get to work on this reading nook & looking forward to many good books being read in this space. Hopefully my fellow bookworm friends will love it, too!
